Job & responsibilities include:

  • Write video scripts, shoot and edit videos about Fortune’s clients, participants, and staffs
  • Research and write blogs/articles about Fortune’s services for its website
  • Monitor media coverage about criminal  justice reform and post the news to its website

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER (2013-2015) at Tempo Media Group Tbk., Jakarta 

A nationwide media company (print: newspaper and weekly magazine, and online)

  • Hosted a TV talk show focusing on the state budget and economic policies
  • Produced a TV news bulletin covering current affairs, art, and social-cultural issues
  • Produced TV talk shows: write the rundown, the questions (Terms of Reference), covering national issues

REPORTER (2010-2012) at PT. Media Lintas Inti Nusantara

The largest private radio news agency in Indonesia KBR, Jakarta

  • Did daily coverage (current affairs, breaking news)
  • Researched and made radio features’ scripts
  • Focused in international desk (researched and translated news about global issues from English to Bahasa), translating and re-packaging news stories from the United Nations Radio regularly
  • Hosted a radio talk show discussing environment topics: renewable energy resource, government’s policies on energy, land conflicts, etc.

–  Made flash radio news stories during the event

–  Interviewed some of the participants representing every region of the world, especially from developing democratic countries such as Venezuela, Malaysia, and Burma. We discussed the burdens faced by those countries during the implementation of democracy and whether democracy was in alignment with the majority of people’s welfare

– Did in-depth interviews with villagers about how the renewable energy resource (micro hydropower) has positively impacted their daily lives and improved their economies

Voice of America (VOA) and Indonesian Association for Media Development (PPMN)
 “Sexual Violence Survivors Seeking Justice”

A group of women formed Lentera Indonesia, a support group for rape and sexual abuse survivors. They told their personal stories about how they had survived, and the difficult situations they had gone through since many of the women’s perpetrators were among their relatives. They also had to face rejection and social stigma, both from the society and the law enforcement officers who were mostly reluctant to collect sufficient evidence in the investigation process due to the lack of gender awareness.

 Children of Cinangka Battling Against Illegal Smelting Industries

A story of children in Cinangka, West Java who were inflicted by illegal smelting of used batteries, which was managed by local companies. The story derived from the data from the Indonesia’s NGO Joint Committee for Leaded Gasoline Phase-Out (KPBB) with the Blacksmith Institute. The organizations revealed a high contamination of chemical poison underneath Cinangka’s soil. The poisonous metal levels in the soil reached 270.000 ppm (parts per million), while the World Health Organization’s recommended threshold is only 400 ppm.  The harmful effects have caused mental disorders and physical disabilities to children in Cinangka’s area.
